I was very fortunate to be asked to collaborate on another Spring photoshoot by a group of talented vendors from Calgary! Amrita, from Book Glow Beauty, asked if I would be available to collaborate with the talented team she put together. Of course I had to say yes. Amrita & I first met a couple years back on a Fall photoshoot that I had hosted and I loved her work! She is a very talented women and I was happy to receive another opportunity to work with her.
I was asked to provide white henna to bring a pop of color that also complement the outfits and set. Amrita wanted to go for a Spring look with a Bride and Sister-of-the-bride theme. Mansha, from Lavish Bridal Couture, did a beautiful job choosing outfits that screamed Spring South Asian Bridal 2021! I loved the pastels that she chose. When I spoke to Mansha during the shoot, her vision is to encourage our Modern Brides to move away from red's and burgundy's and experiment with alternative color pallets that are lighter, softer, and are on trend with the color scheme of the particular wedding season. This year's bridal season is all about the pastels, and I love that Mansha dressed up our muse Harjot in a blush pink bridal lengha. Whilst complementing the bridal lengha, Mansha dressed out muse, Amrit, in a pale green lengha as the sister-of-the-bride.
Mansha also mentioned that it is very common for the bridal parties to match with a certain singular color for weddings, but Mansha wants people to step out of their comfort zone and try to match a color pallet instead of a single color theme. Not only does this idea make for beautiful look but also stunning photos!
I can't wait to see the final photos by Style Video Gigs! I have only heard great things and have seen their Instagram portfolio! I can not wait to share our work with you all!
